Day 1: Arrive HK

Arrive HK, the orient New York. The local guide will meet you at airport and transfer to hotel. Rest day is free for jet-leg.

Day 2:   HK/Kunming       B

We have half-day Hong Kong Island Tour, starting with a peak tram ride to the mid-level of Central District, then on to the Victoria Peak. You will then visit the Repulse Bay, Aberdeen and the Stanley Market..  Take afternoon flight to Kunming, “City of Eternal Spring”.  Meet and transfer to hotel.

Day 3:   Kunming       B,L,D

A full-day excursion takes you to the Stone Forest, which is a special type of limestone formation known as karst. From a distance, it looks indeed like a dense forest, hence the name.  Visit Colorful Yunnan Jade Store on the way back to city.  Enjoy local favor of “ over  the bridge noodles”. in the evening.

Day 4:    Kunming/Dali      B,L

Take morning flight to Dali. Today we will have an opportunity to jump on a ferry across Erhai Lake and explore a charming fishing village nearby.  You will see the local fishermen netting shrimp and practicing the traditional art of using trained cormorants to catch fish. And then we will visit an ancient Bai minority people's town to see the traditional stone buildings, enjoy the tea ceremony of Bai Ethnic, take as more pictures of the colorful costumes of Bai Ethic

Day 5:    Dali/Lijiang         B,L

Today begins with a morning visit to local market in Xizhou. Then visit Dali Three Pagodas and Old Town or spend half-day catching a chairlift up and hiking in the mountains behind Dali (stopping at the occasional monastery along the way). We can also cycle to nearby villages or just stroll around town.

Drive to Lijiang in the afternoon. 

Day 6:    Lijiang       B,L

Full day visit the Black Dragon Pool, Square Street and the Lijiang Old Town. As you walk through the old town, you will immediately get an unique feeling by small bridges, swift streams, cobbled streets and grey tiled roofs of the Residential Houses. It is an ancient legacy of Naxi people. We will stop at the small Naxi Culture Museum to learn about their distinctive Dongba pictographic characters and religion and walk in the nearby countryside through the beautiful Naxi people's villages to a Lama Temple.  The Naxi Ancient Music performance is arranged in the evening.

Day 7:    Lijiang      B,L

Visit the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, take big cable car up to the peak of the mountain, hike in the mountain, enjoy the breath-taking view of the main peak (5596m high), Then drive to Baisha Grottoa and  Naxi Village to see where and how Naxi people live. .

Day 8:       Lijiang/Zhongdian         B,L,D

Drive northwest from Lijiang to Shigu Village to see the sweeping First Bend of the Yangtze River; then visit the tremendous Tiger Leaping Gorge, where the river forces its way between Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Haba Snow Mountain. Continue upcountry to Zhongdian, on the edge of the Tibetan plateau

Day 9:    Zhongdian        B,L,D

Explore Zhongdian and the surrounding Tibetan cultural areas. One highlight is the short trip to the large Songzanlin Monastery, which is the largest Tibetan style temple in Yunnan with more than 800 monks and 3 living buddhas living inside.  Then visit beautiful Shudu Lake and to be a guest in a Tibetan Family.

Day 10:    Zhongdian/Kunming      B,L

Take morning flight back to Kunming.  Visit Dragon Gate on the top of the Western Hill.  Then stop at the Grand view Tower, which was built in 1690.  And then visit Golden Palace, dazzling with light, its main hall is bronze; hence its name. At night, we can take a stroll along the beautiful Green Lake, a quaint area surrounded by little teahouses, cafes and small shops selling souvenirs and paintings.

Day 11:   Kunming/HK        B

Departure transfer to airport.  Fly to HK.
