Day 1: Arrive Beijing

Arrive at Beijing, China's exciting and cultural heart. The local guide will meet you at airport and transfer to hotel. Rest day is free for jet-leg.

 

Day 2: Beijing       B,L,SD (breakfast, lunch, special dinner)

Today's excursion to the Great Wall (Badaling section) of China promise to be a highlights of our travels.  After lunch, we will visit Ming Tombs, including the Sacred Way and the Ding Ling Museum. Enjoy Peking duck dinner in the evening.

 

Day 3:   Beijing/Xi’an          B,L

The day begins at Tiananmen Square, the largest City Square in the world. From there you will enter the Forbidden City, a powerful maze of ancient palaces and courtyards. After lunch, we will take you to The Summer Palace, a vast and beautiful landscape of elegant garden, lakes and pavilions.  Then visit The Temple of Heaven, where the emperors of the Ming and the Qing Dynasties.  Transfer to railway station.  Take overnight train to Xi’an.

 

 

Day 4:    Xi'an       B,L,SD (special dinner)

Arrive Xi’an in the morning, China's former capital, and gateway to the legendary Silk Road.  Meet and transfer to your hotel. Today's highlights is the Terracotta Warriors, the most spectacular and important places in China. Visit the Grand Mosque and Muslim area in the afternoon.  Enjoy Tang Dynasty dinner show in the evening.

 

 Day 5: Xi'an/Shanghai         B,L

Sightseeing today features the ancient city wall, the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Shanxi provincial museum.  Take afternoon flight to Shanghai, China's largest city and vibrant commercial heart. After finishing checking-in, our guide will take you to the Nanjing Road for some shopping, and then visit the Xin Tian Di, which is a newly developed recreation area in Shanghai with old styled buildings. You may find a cafe or western-styled restaurant to have your own dinner.

 

Day 6: Shanghai          B,L,D

Today you will visit morning exercise (Tai Chi) of local people in the Bund. Our city tour starts with Yuyuan Garden, formerly a private garden with rookies, pavilions, halls and ponds. And then walk around the Chenghuangmiao Area (old town), the most-lively place in Shanghai. In the afternoon, you will visit world-class Shanghai Museum with its many fine exhibits (especially of note is the Chinese Minority exhibit).  Enjoy Portman Acrobatic show after dinner.

 

Day 7: Leave Shanghai         B

Departure transfer to airport. Fly for home.

Day 6:    Guilin/Yangshuo/Guilin        B,L

The day begins with a half-day cruise on the Li River. This is one of the most beautiful areas in the whole world.  Buffet lunch will be on boat. As the cruise ends, you will disembark in Yangshuo, a quaint village with a very nice street market. You can go into the countryside to see the beautiful vistas. You also can take a bicycle ride along the country road to visit Banyan Tree Park and Moon Hill or wonder along the West Street to have a pot of tea in a sidewalk café.  Return Guilin in late afternoon.

 

Day 7:   Guilin/Shanghai        B,L

Day 6:  Yangtze cruise (Chongqing—Yichang)     B,L,D

At 9:00am as the cruise leaves Chongqing, your memorable Yangtze River tour begins. In the afternoon disembark at Fengdu, the "Ghost City" for an excursion. Captain's Welcome Party  with Chinese folk dancing and music performance is arranged in the evening.

 

Day 7:  Yangtze cruise      B,L,D

You have a morning excursion to White King City.  The ship enters the Qutang Gorge, the shortest and grandest of the Three Gorges. After lunch, pass the Wu Gorge with its twelve lofty and misty gorges. Then disembark at Badong for an adventure tour to Shennong Stream, a newly opened unspoiled river with verdant plants, ancient coffins and precious animals. The continue sailing into the western section of Xiling Gorge.

 

Day 8:  Yichang/Wuhan       B,L

Disembark at Sandouping for an excursion to the new and still under construction, Three Gorges Dam. Pack your bags and complete check-out procedures before the ship arrives in Yichang at about 10:30. Our guide will meet you on board.  Transfer to Wuhan.  Visit Yellow Crane Tower.

 

Day 9:  Wuhan/Shanghai       B,L

Take flight to Shanghai, China's largest city and vibrant commercial heart.  Today you will visit Pudong area and get a bird-eye view of Shanghai on the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Day 7:  Kunming/Lijiang     B,L

Take morning flight to Lijiang.  Visit the Black Dragon Pool, Square Street and the Lijiang Old Town.

The Naxi Ancient Music performance is arranged in the evening.

 

Day 8:  Lijiang     B,L

Visit the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, take big cable car up to the peak of the mountain, hike in the mountain, enjoy the breath-taking view of the main peak (5596m high), Then drive to visit Baisha Grottoa and  Naxi Village.

 

Day 9:  Lijiang/Kunming       B,l

Take morning flight back to Kunming.  Today you will visit Dragon Gate on the top of the Western Hill and Grand view Tower, which was built in 1690.  And then visit Golden Palace, dazzling with light, its main hall is bronze; hence its name. At night, we can take a stroll along the beautiful Green Lake, a quaint area surrounded by little teahouses, cafes and small shops selling souvenirs and paintings.

 

Day 10:  Kunming/Shanghai    B,L
