Beijing-Datong-Wutaishan-Beijing
Day 1:
You will be met and transferred to the train station for the train ride to Datong. The trip is about 7 hours through interesting countryside in Northwest China where you will glimpse ancient sections of the Great Wall and Chinese rural county life. Upon arriving in Datong, be transferred to Yungang hotel***.
Day 2:
Visit the famous Yungang Grottoes then drive to Hengshan Mountain. Then journey to Wutai mountain and check into the Yindu Hotel ***( best in town) for two nights.
กค The Yungang Grottoes --- With their 252 caves and 51,000 statues, the grottoes represent the outstanding achievement of Buddhist cave art in China in the 5th and 6th centuries. The Five Caves created by Tan Yao, with their strict unity of layout and design, constitute a classical masterpiece of the first peak of Chinese Buddhist art.
กค Hengshan Mountains --- The monastery which clings to the sheer cliff above Jinlong Canyon, dates back more than 1400 years. The monastery contains 40 prayer halls and pavilions. The entire structure is built along the contours of the cliffs with wooden beams for support.
Day 3:
Visit the Long Quan Temple and Nunnery. Then visit Xian Tong Temple and other famous temples in this Buddhist sanctuary. Having vegetarian meal with the Wu Tai Buddhist monks.
Day 4:
Prayer offerings and visits to more area temples. After lunch, transfer to Taiyuan. Take evening flight back to Beijing. Meet and transfer to hotel.
